Welcome! We got married on 4th July 2009, after 8 years of being together. We set up this site so that our guests could post their photos, creating a 360º experience of the wedding; from ALL viewpoints.
Those who aren't members of Facebook and other networking sites would normally miss out on seeing the photos afterwards, and we don't want that to happen, so we really hope that you can contribute your photos to this site. If you would like to, please email me at eloiselara@ymail.com. Alternatively, full instructions can be found on our wedding website (click the LARA monogram to go straight there). The hosting site is very quick and easy to use, so uploading won't take long.
If you prefer not to upload your images, we are happy to do it for you. Simply burn your photos to CD and send in the mail to us (email me for an address). If you would like to share your photos with us, but you do not want them uploaded, simply explain this in a note and send it along with your photos.
To make your visit easier, we have added "Quick Links" (below), which you can click to view specific collections of photos. But if you prefer, you can simply scroll down on this page to view a mixed batch of photos.
* Read about the wedding day (see "THE WEDDING DAY" section below)
* View our original wedding website (click on the LARA monogram above)
* View photos by keyword. For example, if you search for "groom", it will show you photos of Rudy (see "QUICK LINKS" below)

The Wedding Day
Our wedding day began at 7:00am, when we woke up beside one another in a bid to relax for a while before the chaos of the wedding day enveloped us.
Eloïse was off to the hair salon a 8:45am, and during this time Rudy got dressed and (I assume) had breakfast with his family. Eloïse returned at 10:00am to enter a whirlwind of dressing, applying makeup and trying to keep calm before the wedding car - a convertible Morris Minor - arrived to take her to the register office.
Rudy was leaving at the same time, so she had to ensure she wasn't seen, by staying inside the house until he had left. By the time Eloïse got outside and into the car with her dad and one of the bridesmaids, it was raining (they say it's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day).
Arriving at the register office, it was now raining buckets, but Eloïse managed to get into the building with a number of onlookers at the train station, an barely a hair out of place.
The wedding ceremony began at 12:00pm, and went without a hitch. By the time we'd emerged to a sky of confetti, the rain had stopped and the clouds were clearing; it was to be a beautiful afternoon.
After a quick group photo session, our guests departed to spend the afternoon in town, and we left in our Morris Minor (with the top down this time), and went through town on the way back to the house. We had more photos done at the house, using the house and the car as our backdrop. Once the car left, we took a moment to gather ourselves, before heading to our first location for wedding photos.
The weather got better and better with each passing minute, and by the time we arrived at our location, it was a beautiful summer's afternoon and we were having to fan ourselves to keep cool.We spent a couple of hours shooting photos before heading back to the car - but stopping on the way for an ice cream from a van that was pulled up on the side of the road - a welcome treat!
Heading back to the house, the afternoon reception began at 5:00pm, comprising of afternoon tea, cakes, champagne, Pimms, speeches and the cutting of the cake.
The evening reception began at 7:00pm, which brought on a feast of a hog roast, a wild selection of pork pies, more cakes, cheese and much much more.
Once the DJ arrived, the dance floor was cleared and we had our first dance, to Extreme's "More Than Words".Once our dance was out of the way, the dance floor opened up and the night was ours...
